FIBERFORM™ STIFF

Same properties as FIBERFORM™ SOFT (including KEVLAR® fibres) but formulated to be higher resistance to stretch for use with larger splints. Kevlar®, a high strength and extremely lightweight fibre used to make airplane wings, bullet proof armour and now, FIBERFORM™ Splinting Material.

FIBERFORM™ thermoplastic splinting material has a tacky surface when heated which helps the therapist hold the material in place and allows for a permanent bond when needed. Colour: Beige.

Features:

• Durable, lightweight and extremely rigid when cool.
• No re-enforcement required.
• Maximum resistance to stretch yet can still mould and conform well.
• Easy edge finishing when hot or cold.
• Unlimited shelf life.
• Perforation patterns available: 1%, 2½%, 19%.
• Available in 1/8” thickness only. For a thinner application, look at FIBERFORM™ soft.
• Available in Buff Colour.
Recommended for fracture bracing, long arm/elbow splints, back supports, lower extremity splints, burn application, joint contractures or tone and weight bearing splints.
Heating temperature: 65°C – 70°C (150°F – 160°F)
